Connecting Adolescents with Confidence

For adolescents ages 15-18 who are on the journey toward a stronger sense of self-confidence, this group will meet monthly for 8 months and is designed to supplement individual therapy. We will incorporate creativity, movement, and community building to support personal goals and increase connections in a safe and explorative environment. This group will meet online and co-facilitated by 2 therapists from The Place Within with special interests in helping adolescents thrive.

Pet Grief

The grief around the loss of a beloved animal companion can be just as intense and complicated as any other significant loss in our lives. Often there are few spaces where we feel safe to process this grief and all the losses that come with it. We will gather to honor the lives to those beings that mean so much to us and hold space for the ever-changing journey of grief surrounding the loss. This will meet every other week online and co-facilitated by 4 rotating therapists from The Place Within who have a passion for healing and connection.

Transgender and Nonbinary Parent Support Group

Have you ever wished for a safe space to connect with and gain support from other transgender and nonbinary parents? Our Transgender and Nonbinary Parent Support Group is a therapy group designed for adults who identify as transgender and or nonbinary and are raising children of any age and gender. This group will provide a safe space for you to listen to and support one another through your journey as transgender and nonbinary parents in a world where most interactions, as parents, are with cisgender parents. This group will initially meet on-line and may also develop into in-person group therapy based on participants’ geographical locations and interest. This group will be co-facilitated by a TPW therapist who is a parent and identifies as transgender and nonbinary.
